You are what your deepest desire is.

If you are reading this, then you have already started to explore the new website, and I hope that you love the new design and enjoy using it as much as I do. It encapsulates everything that Samsara has come to mean to me: a warm, welcoming community space, where we aim to make you feel at home.

Five years ago, after the loss of my mum, I set out to create a space that will support others on their life journey, by offering yoga, Pilates, holistic therapies and a safe, supportive and inclusive community. And what a journey it has been…They say that the path to success is paved with failure, and at times it certainly felt like the challenges were insurmountable. But every time life presented a new set of challenges, there was a helping hand coming from an unexpected source.

Right there in the midst of Samsara, the inevitable ups and downs of life, I started to trust the Universe, believing that if this was my dharma, my soul purpose, I would come through any obstacles that were thrown in my path.

But amongst all the worries and sleepless nights, there have been many more amazing moments. I am grateful to have made so many friends, met my partner through our shared love of yoga, learned an enormous amount about running my own business and expanded my yoga and Ayurveda knowledge. Most importantly, I have discovered a lot about myself and about reservoirs of resilience and strength I have inside.

The ancient sages of India observed that our destiny is ultimately shaped by our deepest intentions and desires. The classic Vedic text known as the Upanishads states: ‘You are what your deepest desire is. As your desire is, so is your intention. As your intention is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.’

Do not underestimate the power of an intention. It is a potent impulse of consciousness that contains a seed of that which we set out to create. It was my dream to help and support people along their journeys, and we are privileged to have so many clients who have shared their stories and experiences with us. It is so humbling and heartwarming to hear how much Samsara has helped some of you and it is these experiences that have given me the strength through some of the difficult times.

If you pour your heart into something, the seed you plant will grow one day into something beautiful. Don’t despair if you don’t see it straight away, the little seedling, fragile and tender, will have to fight its way through the soil, but once it comes through the darkness, a magical flower will appear. If you have a dream, reach for it! It won’t be easy, the strength and integrity of your intention will be tested, but I promise you that you will never feel so alive. You will savour every moment, good or bad, and most importantly, you will grow to become the best version of yourself that you can be.

Finally, I would like to say how much I appreciate every single one of you. I would like to take this chance to thank all of those who have supported me through this adventure and I hope that Samsara can continue to return that support to the local community.

I look forward to welcoming you to the studio!
